What can I do with BDC Mobile?
BDC Mobile makes staying on top of your business finances easier, even when you’re on the go.
Here’s what you can do with the app:
From the Home page:
- View the current balance of your BDC loan(s)
- See the date and amount of your next loan payment(s)
- View any new loan offers from BDC
- View any alerts regarding your BDC loans
- See personalized content based on the goals you have created in the app and the KPIs the app has calculated for your business
From the My business page:
- View your annual loan balance
- Select up to 13 KPIs for the app to calculate so that you can see how your business is faring against industry benchmarks
- See the app’s recommendations for improving your underperforming KPIs
- Set concrete goals and timelines for improving the KPIs you choose to target
- Track your progress in reaching these goals based on your most up-to-date financial data in the app
How do I use BDC Mobile?
BDC Mobile is intuitive and easy to use.
Simply log into the app using your Client Space username and password. (Note that you must have a BDC Client Space account to use the app.)
The app will then present a quick tutorial on how to use the various functionalities. It will also prompt you to connect your cloud accounting software (QuickBooks online or FreshBooks).
Connecting your accounting software is optional, but will make the app even more valuable.
How do I log into the app?
To log in, simply use your Client Space username and password. (Note that you must have a BDC Client Space account to use the app.)
Once you have logged in, you can set Touch ID or Face ID if you wish to make future logins easier.
Do I have to connect my cloud accounting software?
Connecting your accounting software to the app is optional, but strongly recommended.
Connecting your accounting software gives the app access to your most up-to-date financial data. The app can then calculate your KPIs more accurately and offer more meaningful recommendations for improving your financial performance.
If you choose not to connect your cloud accounting software, the app will calculate KPIs and make recommendations based on your most recent financial statements that BDC has on file. As a result, recommendations and calculated KPIs may not fully reflect your current financial situation. However, you can still make full use of the app’s other functionalities.
What if I don’t use a cloud accounting software?
If you don’t use a cloud accounting software, the app will use your latest financial statements that BDC has on file.
If you still do not see any KPIs in your dashboard, it means we do not have recent final statements on file for your business.
Can anyone use BDC Mobile?
No. Only clients with an active BDC loan and former BDC clients can use the app, as long as they have access to Client Space.
Can I make payments with the app?
No. BDC Mobile is not a conventional banking app. You can contact your BDC representative to make an additional payment on your BDC loan.
What’s the difference between BDC Mobile and Client Space?
BDC Mobile is our mobile app that lets you:
- Access your BDC account information while on the go via your smartphone (available for iPhones only for the time being)
- Set and view KPIs to compare your current financial performance vs. industry benchmarks
- Get recommendations for improving your KPIs based on your current financial situation
- Set goals and track your progress to strengthen your financial health
Client Space is BDC’s secure online transactional platform that lets you:
- Access and manage your detailed BDC account information
- Apply for a BDC loan
- Take advantage of pre-approved loan offers
- Request a postponement on a loan payment
- Upload and view documents relating to your BDC loan(s)
- And more
For the optimal BDC experience, we recommend you use both BDC Mobile and Client Space as complementary tools.
Note that we regularly add new features to both BDC Mobile and Client Space.
