BDC named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the 19th year
Montreal, November 18, 2025 – The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) has been recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the 19th year, underscoring the organization’s award-winning workplace culture, inclusive practices, and investment in employee development—while continuing to evolve for the future of work.
“At BDC, we believe that when our people flourish, so do the entrepreneurs we serve,” said Marie-Chantal Lamothe, Chief Human Resources Officer. “This recognition reaffirms our commitment to creating a workplace where our people can thrive, grow, and make a difference. It’s a celebration of our culture—which is powered by people—and the mandate that drives them every day: to support small- and medium-sized businesses in all industries and at every stage of growth with financing and advice.”
Canada’s Top 100 Employers program evaluates organizations on workplace practices including benefits, work environment, professional development, and community involvement. This year’s winners are a group of “forward-looking organizations” that “sees today’s uncertainty as an opportunity to invest in people and reinforce their leadership.” BDC’s continued presence on the list reflects its focus on employee well-being, growth, and experience, supported by one of the most competitive total rewards programs in the market.
“Employers in Canada are at a remarkable juncture, facing once-in-a-generation challenges in artificial intelligence, trade and demographics,” says Richard Yerema, executive editor of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. “Periods of disruption are often catalysts for long-term advantage.”
“Employees are the power behind our success,” added Lamothe. “Listening to them and embracing diverse perspectives is what makes us stronger—and why we continue to stand out.”
Here’s what sets BDC apart in 2025:
