Stéphane Bilodeau is BDC’s Chief Information Officer. He joined BDC in 2017.
Mr. Bilodeau is in charge of implementing BDC’s information technology (IT) strategies and services. His role involves, among other things, managing the business project portfolio, information security and compliance, as well as managing information technology and delivery.
Mr. Bilodeau has a wealth of experience in information technology and operations in the financial services sector. Before joining BDC, he was active in the Fintech industry, notably overseeing the organization of the 2015 and 2016 editions of the Canada FinTech Forum presented by Finance Montréal—the largest event of its kind in Canada.
Most recently, Mr. Bilodeau led IT governance and business relationship activities within the Office of the Vice President of Information Technology at Hydro-Québec. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President, Operations and Strategic Initiatives Office at the National Bank of Canada, where he managed all of the bank’s operations as well as the evaluation and prioritization of large-scale projects requiring major investments. Upon joining the National Bank, he worked as Senior Vice President, IT Delivery, a position in which he managed the delivery of a major project to transform banking activities.
Mr. Bilodeau began his career as a systems developer for Desjardins. He went on to join DMR Conseil, where he worked for 12 years and rose to the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy—Quebec Region. He then worked for the Montréal Exchange as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a role in which he managed all commercial activities, technology and operations.
Stéphane Bilodeau holds degrees in Management from Harvard Business School (Advanced Management Program) and from HEC Montréal (MBA), as well as a degree in IT Management from UQAM.
