Colin M. Woodyard is Assistant Vice President, Syndicated Financing, based in Toronto. In this role, he has responsibility for managing the overall Syndicated Financing team, and for setting and executing its overall strategy.
With personnel in Montreal, Toronto and Calgary, the Syndicated Financing team specializes in syndicated mid-market deals in oil and gas, renewal energy projects, public-private partnerships, asset-based lending and cash flow lending.
Colin has more than 20 years of experience in commercial and corporate banking. He previously served as Director, Specialized Credit, Corporate Financing, where he was responsible for evaluating new deals, underwriting and delivering credit solutions for targeted sectors including diversified industries, manufacturing, infrastructure and real estate projects. He also participated in the creation of an asset-based lending platform for syndicated transactions, and collaborated with private lenders to create the Stonebridge Infrastructure Debt Fund—the first of its kind in Canada. Colin serves on the limited partner advisory committees representing BDC’s investments in Stonebridge Debt Infrastructure Funds 1 & 2.
Before joining BDC in 2010, Colin was Vice President, GE Corporate Lending. Prior to that, he was Vice President, RBC Capital Markets in credit management. He worked for close to 10 years in commercial and corporate banking at TD Bank Financial Group at the beginning of his career.
Colin holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from Laurentian University.
