Pay per click

With pay per click (PPC) advertising, companies are charged for online ad space only when users click on their ads. It is a form of online marketing.

Businesses buy pay per click advertising from search engine service providers like Google, Yahoo and Bing as well as social media platforms such as Facebook, X and LinkedIn. When users search for content related to businesses and their products or services, their ads appear next to the search results.

The cost incurred for this type of marketing is called a company’s “cost per click.”
