When content syndication drives traffic back to the company’s own website (to download a full article, for example), it is called inbound marketing.
Content syndication may be a paid service or unpaid. In either case, content syndication requires a company to know its audience well to be effective, and it must post its content on websites that audiences are likely to visit.
