Sylvie Ratté has been a Senior Economist at the Business Development Bank of Canada since 2007. In this role, she analyzes economic trends that affect Canadian businesses. She is the author of a number of BDC studies on mergers and acquisitions, business transition, productivity, growth strategies and the transition to carbon neutrality.
Ms. Ratté was previously Director of Research at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business and began her career at the Department of Finance in Ottawa. She is a member of the Public Policy Committee of the Association des économistes québécois.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
