Anne-Marie Christoffersen-Deb


Anne-Marie Christoffersen-Deb leads BDC’s Bridge Financing Program, which co-invests alongside eligible venture capital firms in high-potential companies affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. She played a key role in the formation and deployment of the program and, as Director, leads the team in assessing qualified applicants, performing due diligence, and managing a large and diversified portfolio that includes companies in the FinTech, InsurTech, CleanTech, MedTech and FoodTech sectors.

Anne-Marie brings a diverse background with strong experience in law and early-stage venture financing. Before joining BDC, she was an Associate at Weil, Gotshal & Manges, where she advised borrowers, private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of early venture, investment-grade and leveraged financing transactions. She was also an Associate at Clifford Chance, where she advised on restructurings and infrastructure financing transactions. She has previously been seconded to Goldman Sachs and worked for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the World Health Organization.

Anne-Marie holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ottawa, an LLB from the University of London, and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
