Creative Juiices was already making a name for itself by supplying carbonated alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and service to Canadian and U.S. brand owners when it took on an added challenge by acquiring a struggling facility that produced Champanade, a non-alcoholic, sparkling grape juice that has been popular for decades. In order to redevelop the brand, company officials wanted to move to a new, state-of-the-art location.
They contacted BDC Financing, which provided Creative Juiices with a small business loan allowing for leasehold improvements at its new location as well as equipment purchases that enabled the company to redevelop its latest brand while continuing to work towards becoming the go-to business for companies seeking turnkey solutions in the beverage service industry.
Since then, Creative Juiices has increased its production capacity and has taken on new contracts. As well, with BDC’s help, Creative Juiices has become Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) FSSC 22000- certified. As the company continues to grow, it has strengthened partnerships in the Niagara region and created new employment opportunities.
Says Creative Juiices Marg Kapitan, Managing Partner: “As a new business owner, working with BDC has turned out to be one of the best avenues taken—not only for financing but also for professional tools and guidance, allowing us to focus on achieving success, for now and the future.”
