But when he took the reins, this entrepreneur was determined to take the company’s commitment to the environment even further. Tackling contaminated soil, CAR has invested in a new technology to recycle toxic materials.
About CAR
Since 1990, Calgary Aggregate Recycling has been recycling waste materials into top-quality construction and landscaping products. The company, founded and owned by Indigenous people, now has the capacity to recycle 600,000 tonnes of excavated waste material annually and is diverting 510,000 tonnes of contaminated soil from the landfill.
