Franco Perugini is Principal, Growth Equity Partners in our Vancouver office. He is responsible for the origination, evaluation, and execution of new investment opportunities and works closely with the Management teams of multiple portfolio companies, including Ansan Traffic Group, Delco Automation, Lube City, and Preciseley Microtechnology; he is also actively involved as an Observer on the Board of these companies.
Franco joined BDC in 2018 and previously worked on the Direct Private Equity team at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, one of the largest global pension funds. At CPPIB, he focused on large cap leveraged buyouts in the Financial and Technology sectors. He was also an Observer on the boards of one of the largest closed block life reinsurance companies in North America and a leading educational technology business focused on the healthcare vertical.
Franco began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at BMO Capital Markets in Montreal and Toronto, where he worked closely with senior bankers almost exclusively on mergers & acquisitions advisory mandates for large Quebec-based public companies.
Franco is a CFA charterholder, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from Concordia’s John Molson School of Business, where he graduated a Calvin Potter Fellow from the Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program and as part of the Beta Gamma Sigma honour society.
