Entrepreneur challenge
In a period of strong growth and a desire to remain an exemplary company, Construction Gauthier wanted to better structure itself in order to turn its momentum into lasting success. Mission, business model, roles and responsibilities, processes, technology—the company wanted to strengthen its capabilities on every front. After 15 years at BDC serving SMEs, Charles-Olivier Potvin joined the Chicoutimi-based company as a shareholder, driven by the desire to make a tangible impact as an entrepreneur. He became part of a strong, ambitious team, always on the lookout for opportunities and best practices and in need of comprehensive, 360° strategic support.
BDC expertise
BDC took the time to understand the unique context and challenges of growing the business in order to provide it with tailored support. First, a mandate for operational efficiency was launched to optimize processes, roles and responsibilities. An equipment loan was then allocated. But beyond these one-off interventions, BDC mobilized its multidisciplinary team, expertise and network, acting as a true strategic advisory committee to help the company seize business opportunities and go even further.
