Come participate in the genetic data games and take on this year’s challenge—designed by BiogeniQ, an innovative Canadian SME.

In teams, you will have to demonstrate your skills with the technologies of your choice in order to create an innovative solution using genetic data supplied to you by BiogeniQ on the day of the challenge.

This challenge will take place over the course of a single day. You will need to present your solution to the judges, who will evaluate your work and nominate the winners, in programming, user interface development and presentation.

You will retain all ownership rights over the work that you create for the challenge.

First prize:An iPhone X will be given to each member of the winning team.

Second prize:An Apple Watch will be given to each member of the team ranked in second place.

Third prize:A Google Assistant will be given to each member of the team.

Participation prizes:Many prizes will be distributed to all the participants, including the event t-shirt. In addition, two BiogeniQ Nutrition Profile genetic assessments will awarded by random draw to participants in attendance.

Who can participate?

All university students enrolled in the Winter 2018 session. You will need to present a valid student ID card on the day of the event.

You must form a team of three to five students. If you wish, you can register individually and you will be teamed with other participants on site the day of the event.

More than one team per university can participate in the challenge.

Ready to tackle the challenge!

You will have a better chance of winning the challenge if your team members are good at programming, UI development, and presentation.
