Kristy Duncan founded Women in Payments in 2012, a global initiative that facilitates learning, networking, and career development for women across the fintech and payments verticals. Women in Payments conferences, awards and mentorship programs are now run in Canada, the U.S., Australia/New Zealand and in the U.K.
She is an advisor to FI.SPAN, a fintech offering banks a multi-API integration platform for corporate clients, and is on the board of directors for Digital Retail Apps, a fintech that delivers digital in-store shopping solutions.
Prior to Women in Payments, Kristy consulted extensively in payments and fintech, where her clients included financial institutions and other leaders and stakeholders in the global payments arena. Kristy also worked at a tier one Canadian bank, in leadership positions in global transaction banking, treasury, finance and operations.
Kristy is frequently invited to speak at global industry forums on topics of payments innovation, fintech and diversity. Kristy is a registered Professional Engineer, and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science and Engineering from the University of Toronto.
