March 16, 2018, Montreal—It’s official: The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) is a great place to work.
BDC has been recognized for its outstanding work environment by the Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The Bank scored well above the 70% needed for official certification in the Trust Index® survey, which measures credibility, respect, fairness, pride and camaraderie in the workplace.
“One of our roadmap goals is to make BDC a great place to work. This is why we participated in the Great Place to Work survey with a view to becoming certified,” says Michael Denham, President and CEO of BDC. This survey will help us in our efforts to attract and retain employees in an increasingly competitive market. Employees should all be very proud of their accomplishments as reflected in this survey.”
BDC attained especially high marks in these areas: employee pride in the Bank’s mandate, work-life balance, physically safe workplace and fair treatment of employees regardless of sexual orientation, race or ethnicity.
The survey is conducted by the Toronto-based Great Place to Work Institute Canada, which is the global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures.
