The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), which has been serving small businesses in the Montérégie region for the past 30 years, is celebrating the anniversary of its recently renovated Longueuil branch, at 550 chemin Chambly, today. The growth of the Longueuil branch was spurred by the rise of the small business sector and the diversification of the region's economic base.
Major renovations have been carried out at the branch in response to vigorous business development and an increase in the number of manufacturing and technological companies in the area. BDC predicts that this more modern facility will increase the Bank's visibility within the community and make it more accessible to the region's small businesses and entrepreneurs.

In the past four years, the Longueuil branch has experienced a growth of over 50% in business volume both in terms of investments and in terms of transactions. Clients of the branch are operating in a variety of sectors such as manufacturing, services and technology.
