Patrice Bernard was appointed Senior Vice President, Financing and Consulting, Quebec Region in 2010.

In this position, Mr. Bernard is responsible for overseeing BDC's lending and consulting activities in the province of Quebec. His responsibilities also include a call centre and a training center.

Prior to taking on his current position, he was Senior Vice President of Operations for Atlantic and Quebec Region for three years.

Mr. Bernard has over 25 years of experience in the financial sector. He began his career in a chartered bank and joined BDC in 1990 as a Senior Account Officer. He has spent most of his career in field positions in Eastern Quebec and Montréal, including Business Centre Manager and Vice President & Area Manager. He also worked at the corporate level as Vice President, Operations Support and Strategic Initiatives.

Mr. Bernard holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Université du Québec à Montréal.
