Charles Cazabon was appointed Managing Partner of GO Capital in 2011.

In this role, he is responsible for supervising and coordinating the investment activities of GO Capital, a venture fund supporting the creation of companies in all sectors of science and technology in Quebec.

Mr. Cazabon has over 25 years of venture capital experience. During his career with BDC, he held a variety of positions, including Acting EVP, Investments, Vice President, Venture Capital, and Managing Director, Life Sciences, BDC Venture Capital.

Before joining BDC in 2001, he served as Vice President at one of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec's investment subsidiaries where he managed a team that provided venture capital, expansion and acquisition services for Quebec-based businesses. Previously, he worked in PE and VC firms in Montréal and Toronto, with an M&A boutique in Montréal and in commercial lending in Southern Ontario.

He has served on numerous public and private company boards and is a former President and member of the Board of Réseau Capital, the Quebec Venture Capital Association.

Mr. Cazabon holds an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, a Master of Science degree in Biology from Laurentian University and an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo.

Réjean Asselin is a Partner in GO Capital. He joined BDC Venture Capital in 2004. Over the years, he built and managed a portfolio of investment in every technology sector including Biotech, IT, Industrial Tech and Cleantech, including a few M&A transactions.

M. Asselin has over 25 years of engineering, consulting, management and entrepreneurial experience primarily in the telecommunications and IT industry. Prior to joining BDC, he provided management consulting services in the high tech sector. Mr. Asselin was the Founder and CEO of Mobiway Inc., a GPS navigation and wireless communications start-up company. Prior to that, he founded and operated a wireless telecommunications engineering practice. He also held various technology and management positions within two large consulting firms (SNC and CGI).

Mr. Asselin holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Electrical Engineering) from Université Laval and is a member of the Ordre des administrateurs agréés du Québec (Adm.A.).

Ela Borenstein

Ela Borenstein is a partner in the Health Venture Fund. She joined BDC in 2007 and has over 20 years of management, entrepreneurial and consulting experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining BDC, she was chief operating officer and held the position of vice president in clinical, regulatory affairs and product strategy for various biotech companies, as well as senior vice president of scientific affairs for a public pharmaceutical company. Ms. Borenstein's diversified background includes senior management responsibilities in drug and medical device development as well as key involvement in product acquisition and M&A activities, which included a business development role and the building of multi-disciplinary teams involved in all aspects of research and product development. Ms. Borenstein is currently serving on the boards of several of our Life Sciences portfolio companies.

Ms. Borenstein holds an Honours B.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Western Ontario, an M.Sc. in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto and an MBA in Bio-Industries from UQAM.

David Massé is a Principal in GO Capital. Working at the BDC since 2009, Mr. Massé joined the GO Capital team in 2011. He brings over 20 years of experience with technology companies and investment funds as consultant, coach and manager. Mr. Massé held an investment position in a private IT Venture Capital Fund and a Diversified Public Investment Fund for 7 years. As such, he held numerous Board member positions in both private and public companies and played a key role on executive boards, audit, strategy, restructuring and compensation committees.

Mr. Massé holds a Master degree in Management Sciences (M. Sc. International Business) and a Bachelor degree in Finance-Economics from HEC Montréal.
