For Superior Tofu, this meant blending traditional recipes with new and inventive production methods and, over the years, purchasing a building to allow for improved operations, obtaining Kosher status and becoming export-ready by obtaining the GMP/HACCP food safety certification.

BDC Solution
Superior Tofu's long-standing partnership with BDC started in 1995 with the financing of production equipment, and this relationship has been maintained with long-term financing for development and growth. BDC Consulting helped the company increase efficiency and productivity, allowing Superior Tofu to achieve Kosher status and obtain GMP/HACCP, Canada Organics and USDA Organics certifications.

Results
With BDC's help, Superior Tofu has expanded to four locations, leading the industry with the highest standards of tofu manufacturing and serving an ever-increasing base of satisfied customers. With ongoing innovation in its palette of products, Superior Tofu has expanded its domestic distribution outside the Lower Mainland market and also exports its products to Asia. Though Superior Tofu's annual sales are now in the millions, it continues to honour its 'pure and simple' philosophy.
